If you discover black mold in your home, do not panic, as you do not need to call any home services firm to remove it if it is not extended over a large area. Put a cup of bleach in a gallon of water and add a little dish washing soap to the mixture. Make sure to wear gloves before you go about the removal process. Apply the mixture over the moldy areas and leave it to soak into the mold. You should leave it for at least fifteen minutes and then clean it thoroughly, make sure that even the tiniest spot is removed. Any speck of mold that remains will grow again. Make sure that the surface is completely dry after it is cleaned. After removing, make sure that you get to the root of the problem that is causing the black mold to grow rectified, like a leaking pipe, etc. Do not ever try to remove mold by scrapping it when it is dry. This is a very big risk, as the spores get released in the air and can cause inflammatory problems. If the black mold covers an extensive area, it is best to get the item replaced; like, if the entire underside of a carpet has black mold, it is best to get rid of it and replace it. If black mold is widespread, do not try to tackle with it yourself; get professional help.
